Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
I genuinely think Sullivan believed he was going to sell the club this summer. Why else set up the option deal with Kretinsky like he did?

The death of his business partner, Kretinsky's own slightly less positive financial position (due to Ukraine, interest rates etc) and other business issues have probably screwed that.

It's quite possibly why we have had an even worse summer than usual. Back at the turn of the year, I don't think Sullivan thought he'd be here now.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
We win a European trophy. And have a shit year. And there’s the like of Arsenal who win fuck all. But are seen to have a successful year.!

Look. Moyes need to go.(We all agree on that.) But the problem begins at the top. And like basic plumbing. Shit trickle’s down. You can change coaches every day if you like. You still have the same problem. With a ownership incapable of learning.. Until they go. We are treading water at best. And eventually we will drown.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
It has to be sullivan, gutless and indecisive. The board allegedly recognised the mess moyes made of the £180m transfer bonanza last time out and sensibly bring in a guy with a reputation for excellence in this specialty. He then allows moyes to muddy the water and create internal problems, that is a sign of a very weak leader, cowardly really. Move on mr chairman and take moyes with you!

Why would I be gutted about a team losing who I’ve never been to watch? Moreover why would I be gutted about a team I’ve followed all my life winning?

You really are a plank.

Shithouse Utd = Trophy winners

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
He needs to be judged on the league, the past 45 games record is.

Won 12, drawn 9, lost 24

For me, it's not that record as such that's problem, weirdly. It's the fact that even in those 12 wins, how many of them have we actually played really well? Like a proper full 90 minutes, on the front foot, battering the opposition? Possibly 2 or 3, for the most part, we have been absolutely fucking diabolical to watch. And that to me is the worrying bit.

We are Shithouse Utd.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
Thing is many clubs supporters hate either their boardroom, managers or both, often for good reason. Look at United fans angst against the Glazers and the antics of Woodward when he was there. Likewise with the anger at Everton at the board or many a Spurs fan hating Levy. Not too many Clubs seem to run smoothly with everyone happy, certainly not for a long period. One year a Wolves or Southampton will look like being well run clubs either buying and selling well or having good youth intake, but couple of years go by and one struggles and the other gets relegated because they can't sustain those policies for a length of time.

Some of us of a certain age used to get frustrated with the silence and inactivity of the Cearns family or Terry Brown and yet we now have had a chairman totally the other way. Sneakily leaking info on all sides (allegedly), poking his nose in at the whole running of the club, not keeping promises, and being very vocal unlike boards of the past.

The problem is so many mistakes have been made and so little progress building on the odd good season, nothing ever runs smoothly. Sullivan clearly got spooked after spending millions last year and getting a crap PL season from it. Moyes then throws a spanner in the works by winning a European trophy., What I can't understand is that if Sullivan and Moyes didn't get on then why would Moyes stick around after winning that trophy, because right now it comes across that no-one at all is singing from the same hymn sheet. What is the playing philosophy of all behind the scenes? We know what Moyes wants but Sullivan? The new guy? Noble? (what exactly does Noble do?!)

The buck stops with Sullivan. He needs to have the balls to get rid of Moyes. The fans hate the style of play, coaches are jumping ship left right and centre, Steidten clearly has no relationship with Moyes and the transfer policy is a disaster. What more evidence does Sullivan need? I can only imagine that he has been behind the scenes feeling out possible replacements but no-one wants to come. Bit like potential players !
